Translate manga, manhwa and manhua online: upload raw Japanese, Korean or Chinese pages and get them back translated and typeset, usually in under a minute. Fix any bubble in the editor, then download.
MangaGloss is an AI manga translator that works in your browser. Upload raw pages in Japanese, Korean or Chinese and you get back the same pages with every speech bubble translated and typeset, usually in under a minute. It works as a Japanese manga translator, a Korean manhwa translator and a Chinese manhua translator, and you can translate manga online without installing anything.
Translating a manga page takes four jobs for every bubble: find the text (including vertical Japanese lettering), read it with OCR, translate it with the rest of the page as context, then clean the original lettering and set the translation back inside the bubble. MangaGloss does all four automatically, then runs a quality check on every bubble before you see the page.
Drag in PNG, JPG or WebP pages, or click to browse. Japanese manga, Korean manhwa and Chinese manhua (Simplified or Traditional) all work, and you can drop a whole chapter at once.
Choose the source language and the language you want to read. The AI finds every bubble, reads the text, translates it with the whole page as context, cleans the original lettering and types the translation back in.
Open Edit to change any line or its size and re-render the page. When every bubble fits, download the page or the whole chapter as ZIP or PDF, or copy the script from the Text tab.

AI Manga Translator: Translate a Whole Raw Chapter in 1 Minute · Chapters & transcript
Drop every page of a chapter together. Each page gets its own card with a live status (queued, translating, quality check, done), and you can open finished pages while the rest are still working.
Before a page is marked done, every bubble is re-checked for text that overflows the bubble, lines that were missed and words left untranslated, and fixed. Pages that fail completely are not counted.
The original lettering is cleaned from the bubble and the translation is set inside it at a readable size, so pages read like a normal translated chapter instead of text boxes pasted on top.
Every text region sits next to the page with the original text above your translation. Fix a name, a joke or an honorific, change the size, then re-render the page.
Copy the full translation of every page as plain text: useful for notes, language study, subtitles or your own lettering.
Download one page or the whole chapter as a ZIP of numbered pages or a single PDF. File names include the chapter name and page number so your library stays sorted.
Each source language has its own layout. Japanese manga is often lettered vertically and read right to left, Korean manhwa comes as long vertical strips, and Chinese manhua mixes Simplified and Traditional scripts. The translator handles all three, and each has its own guide:
| Source language | Comic type | What makes it hard | Guide |
|---|---|---|---|
| Japanese | Manga | Vertical text, furigana, right-to-left pages | Japanese manga translator |
| Korean | Manhwa / webtoon | Long vertical strips, text over artwork | Korean manhwa translator |
| Chinese (Simplified + Traditional) | Manhua | Two scripts, cultivation terms and names | Chinese manhua translator |

Yes. The same tool translates Korean manhwa and webtoon strips and Chinese manhua in Simplified or Traditional characters, not only Japanese manga.
No. The translator runs in your browser on Windows, Mac, Linux or your phone, and the AI work runs on cloud GPUs.
After a page is translated, every bubble is checked again for overflowing text, missing lines and untranslated words, and those problems are fixed before the page is marked done.
Use the highest-resolution raw pages you can find, upload the chapter together so the AI has context, and give names a quick check in the editor.
Sound effects drawn into the artwork are the hardest part of any page. Dialogue and captions are the focus; treat SFX translations as a bonus and check them.
